Failed domain creation: Unable to update domain data: Failed mail post-configuration: Can't create mail domain servie: mailManager->addDomain() failed

Found an issue w/ plesk for windows, for some 8.2.0 Windows 5.2.3790.0 20070705.17

When you remove the domain from plesk and try to recreate it at a later date, plesk doesn't seem to remove it from the mail enable post office.

Simple fix, here is the orig post from parallels

http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=78781
==
Check if postoffice for [MY-DOMAIN.com] was already created in MailEnable:

Run %plesk_dir%\Mail Servers\Mail Enable\Bin\MailEnable.msc

If it is there then remove it and try to create domain again.
==

Steps taken.

1. Verify Error
2. Log into windows
3. Open up run window run the following command
==
%plesk_dir%\Mail Servers\Mail Enable\Bin\MailEnable.msc
==
4. Mail enable >> Post Offices >> remove lingering domain.

5. rejoice! and verify by adding the domain!

If this doesn't work, um.. sorry.. keep trying maybe it's the wrong error!

The system cannot find the path specified. (Error code 3) at CMMFile::CMMFile: open file C:\Inetpub\vhosts\default\htdocs\index.html

Here is the error I got when, this happened with you are doing your initial server configuration for your plesk control panel.

==
Error: Unable to update administrator information: The system cannot find the path specified. (Error code 3) at CMMFile::CMMFile: open file C:\Inetpub\vhosts\default\htdocs\index.html
==

The issue was that the path and file that it was looking for does not exists.

==
C:\Inetpub\vhosts\default\htdocs\index.html

Simply log into the server and create the folders and files then continue with the registration/set up.

Have fun!

Recover Lost Plesk Password Windows - Plesk x64 and 9.x update lost password

This may be beyond some of you, but for those who have lost their plesk password and still have access the server you can get the password fairly easily.

Open a command prompt.

==
Start >> Run >> cmd
==

at the prompt type/copy/paste the following.

==
"C:\Program Files\SWsoft\Plesk\admin\bin\plesksrvclient.exe" -get
==

This will pop a window with the current Plesk Password.

Is this a security risk?? Maybe, but if someone has access the server, you are already at risk.. ;)

udpate : 6-24-10

If you are using an x64 version of windows, and a newer version of plesk, the path will be a bit different

==
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\admin\bin\plesksrvclient.exe" -get
==

If it is a newer version of plesk but on a 32bit, the path would be.

==
"C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\admin\bin\plesksrvclient.exe" -get
==

hope it helps!

not sure if this is a bug, but will find out soon from Parallels.

Will update once I have more info!

UPDATE:

Looks like the issue was a cab file.

==
plesk828.cab at the installation directory C:\Program Files\Parallels\Install\080722.15\.
==

download it from the parallels website and you should be up and you should be able to install php5 now.
