Here's another one that's not really an issue but may help some of you guys to upgrade php.
If you are running a whm/cpanel control panel and would like to upgrade php5 or add modules simply follow these steps.
1. Log into whm
2. In the main menu or on the side bar >> select software
3. Click on EasyApache (Apache Update)
4. Scroll down to the bottom and click on start customizing based on profile
5. Step two simply choose the Apache Version you would like to use or keep.
6. Step three choose the PHP version. You can use both php4/php5 but need to set the handlers*
7. Step four choose the minor versions for php.
8. Step five you can select the modules you would like to use and/or add.
9. Step six has the rest of the options for php4/php5.
10. Step seven you can save and or build apache, just make sure you leave it going in the background and not make changes to the server during the the build or stop the build. If you do the build may cause it to break the web server and you will have to recompile once again.
